Come on in!

Our entry way is super tall, 18 feet. It's a "wow" factor as you walk in and gives the house a Grand effect. Unfortanately it's impossible to take a picture of it.From the front porch looking in.

Looking into the entry from the Living Room. There is a tile medallion in the center of floor. This picture also shows the travertine stone we used throughout the whole upstairs and in the master shower. This tile can hide a whole mountain of dirt and a whole head of hair. Seriously, I never clean it because I don't realize it needs it until my feet start getting dirty from walking on it and then I'm amazed when I finally do how much dirt and hair I swept up. Sorry, I just revealed one of my dirty little secrets. I love that it hides everything!
And looking up. It also has a beautiful paint job in here. My cousin Rachel did it, she's amazing and everyone that comes over comments on it.

The Office

The office is directly to the left when you walk in the front door. Let me tell you how amazing this office is. It's pretty sweet. I think this is going to be the hardest thing for Nathan to give up. It's custom made just for him. My cousin Randy built it and he is an amazing craftsman. The drawers are file cabinets (on the left) and it has a pullout for house plans with lots of counter space. It's all solid cherry and all the drawers are soft close. It's built to perfection. It's a must see to appreciate it's beauty. And to right where that mirror is, it is framed for a HUGE fishtank in the wall. It would go through to the Living Room so it would be double sided.
Alright, so I need to try again on this picture. Here it is for now.

The Formal Room

This is just to the right as you walk in the front door. It's nice to have a room that the kids don't play in and always stays clean so people don't have to see the rest of your messy house.

The Garage

This is a very large 2 car garage with 2 doors. Sorry for the mess.

The floor in here is really cool. It has an epoxy coating over it. It's great for covering up cracks and washes off really easy. They say the only thing that can harm it is break fluid. Oil messes wash right off and it looks great!

The Family Room

Here's the Living Room.
Looking in from the entry way.

And another view from the Kitchen.

It has a vaulted ceiling, 14 feet at the peek. All of the main areas of the house are painted tan on top with a chair rail and brown underneath.

The Master (Bedroom #1)

I love my bedroom/bathroom area. My plan for the bedroom was to have a Grand bed and nothing else in it besides decor and side tables. My point being I wanted a huge closet so I didn't have to have dressers and clutter in my bedroom. I think I acheived it. The walls are a venecian plaster. Beautiful.
A view from the other side. This door goes outside to the back porch. This room also has a vaulted ceiling. I think it makes it look alot more spacious.

From the bedroom looking into the bathroom with the closet in the back. I love this layout, it's perfect. I may have to copy this in my next house because I don't know how to make it better. I love where it drops down for the vanity area to sit and do my hair and makeup. It has little stool underneath in case you can't tell. And I love the his and hers sides. The countertops are marble with cherry cabinets. On the right, where the towel is hanging is the huge walk-in shower. It's beautiful. Let me just tell you now that the picture won't do it justice. The toilet room is on the left across from the shower. Having a separate room for the toilet is heaven.
This tub is humongous and super deep with some powerful jets. It could easily fit 3 grown adults, not that that's very useful, but it comfortably fits two. It has travertine all around with some decorative tile work.
And looking around the corner into the shower. This shower is another "wow" factor of the house. Everyone thinks it's beautiful and is amazed at how great it is. Nathan did a beautiful tiling job. It's travertine stone with some decorative tile with 2 shower heads and it has a bench in the corner.
From the bathroom looking in. There are no doors to my closet, just an archway so I try to keep my closet somewhat in an orderly fashion, but I have this great closet unit to help out with that. And can I just say how much I love having this shoe holder thing. It's so nice that every shoe has it's place and that they are not all over the floor.
The other side. More hanging space. It has a tall hanging space too, for dresses, it goes back behind the drawers.

I hope you like Green!

Because I love it. I will admit that some people haven't had the best reaction to the color of my kitchen, but some people really love it. More love it than hate it. But...it can always be changed, it's just paint.

We have some beautiful granite counter tops and solid cherry cabinets. You may be hearing that alot because we have solid cherry cabinets throughout most of the house. Looking into the dining area over the bar from the Family Room. This wall is faux painted. The door you see is the pantry with plant shelf over it that you can't see very well in the picture.
The dishwasher is just to right of the sink and the bar has more cupboards underneath it. The fixtures are a brass finish and the garbage disposal is a cool push button on top of the sink.

The Laundry Room

The Laundry Room has cherry cabinets and granite counter tops. It has plenty of space to fold clothes or you can even put a computer in here. I put my scrapbook computer in here while the basement was being finished and had plenty of space for it. It also has tons of cabinets and drawers for storage space. There are some big long deep drawers on the right and more upper cabinets that didn't make it in the picture. I have a phone over there and it's a great place to drop the mail and a great message center.

Ragan's Room (#2)

The Pink Room. This room is so cute with the bead board around it. There is also a walk-in closet.

Elly's Room (#3)

I think Elly's Room is so cute and I am really happy with the way it turned out. Considering it's blue, for a little girl room. To make a long story short, I got stuck with a blue room (because I was planning on having a boy instead of a girl) and had to work with it. I put Ragan in Elly's old room. So...I have it as a girl room, but obviously it would make a great Boy room, the way it was intended. It also has a walk-in closet.

The Red Room (#4)

This room is the biggest room upstairs. It really is big. I love the color. It's better in person. Actually the whole house is better in person. I'm not the best picture taker. It's very bold but I love it! And I love the molding around the top with the different color. It also has a very big walk-in closet. Alot of people that see this room before they see my master bedroom think this is the master.

Upstairs bathroom

This bathroom has a double sink with marble counter tops and cherry cabinets with a nickle finish fixtures. Very pretty. The toilet and shower/tub combo have a separate door. IT's very convenient that someone can be showering or using the toilet while someone else is getting ready. It also has a big garden tub.

Going Down

This is the back door coming in from the garage. The stairs are just to the right or I guess left in the picture. They are just to the right as you come in from the garage. Some people think it's weird that's where you go down but that's how I wanted it and I like it. Most people don't even know we have a basement. Their reaction when they find out is "I had no idea". Just the way I wanted it. I didn't want the stairs to be a focal point in my house. I wanted them hidden. Don't ask me why but I think they are in a great place.

First flight

Second flight.

The stairway is really wide, you probably can't tell by the picture. I don't think anyone that has gone down for the first time hasn't mentioned how wide and spacious it is and how much they like it. It sure makes it easier to get furniture down there.

Ugh! I'm getting eaten by a mosquito that I can't seem to catch while I'm sitting here posting. Just thought you might need to know that information.

MEGA Storage space!!

This house has some awesome storage. Tons of it! I knew when we built that that was one thing I wanted. Storage!! I came from a house with none. There is 2 linen closets upstairs, one in my scrap room under the stairs, a little closet in the theater, a utility closet in the playroom and these 2 fabulous rooms. I love having a place to store all my junk besides the garage. My plan was to have nothing but cars in the garage, but we all know how that goes, right?

This room holds just my holiday decorations. Do you know how nice it is to just go downstairs to get what I need and not have to go to the garage or attic full of spiders and bugs? It's great. I can do it myself and not have to depend on and convince my hubby to do it for me.

This storage room is really big. I know it's messy, but hey it's a storage room, it's supossed to be that way, right? Don't judge me. I need to get down there and organize it a bit. It's on my "to do" list.

The Basement

I want this room to be a family room. Or maybe I should make it an exercise room and use the treadmill that I have never stepped foot on that's sitting there. Hmmm, the possibilities.
The downstairs is just a big open space for now. This room is HUGE! No kidding, it's a bit overwhelming when trying to think of what to do with it. It could easily fit a pool table, which Nathan plans to get one of these days, and a ping pong table or air hocky or some arcade games or something. It has room for lots of fun stuff. Bedrooms 5 and 6 and the bathroom are behind me and the 2 doors you in the corner are storage closets. The archway goes into the theater. And the playroom is on the left. The kitchen directly to my left and the family room, or whatever, to my right.

The downstairs kitchen. This is a half kitchen. I don't know what to call it. It's great for parties. It has a dishwasher (which I want to switch out for an ice machine), a microwave, and half fridge that's great for beverages, and a sink with a bar behind it. They are all stainless steel appliances and the pictures do no justice for how awesome these cabinets are. I wish they were upstairs because they are so pretty. They are more of a cream color with brown stain over it and the molding around the top is gorgeous.
Downstairs bathroom. Don't worry, I totally know the ugly purple plaid shower curtain has to go. It's doing it's job for now. It has a marble counter tops with cherry cabinets and a big garden tub.

Bedrooms 5 and 6

So don't look at the decor in these rooms because there is none. I haven't worked my magic in here yet, but I do have some ideas rolling around in my head.
This bedroom is huge. It has 2 closets. This room is really long so I think twin bed would look best.
The color on these walls didn't show up that great. The first picture probably shows it the best, but it's a creamy cottage color.

Sorry for the bad pictures. I may have to try for a better one and swap it out.

This next bedroom is pretty good sized one too. Actually all the bedrooms in this house are pretty big. This bed frame is a BIG king bed.

I don't have anything to say about this bedroom except it's going to be great once it's decorated.
